What I GET in Adobe CC, is a 7 minute video taking 2 hours to render once I apply the LUT, sharpening, denoise, and basic color correction. But gopro studio not batch rendering is a problem. What I want, is simply the normal gopro studio look applied to my protune files.I shoot LOTS on my gopro, and can't stuff around for ever with these. Mostly to avoid the lack of batch export in gopro studio 2.0 (which is still buggy as hell!).just doesn't open gopro files on import, my workaround is to convert to cineform in media encoder, then plop them into gopro studio 2.x in the edit stage. ![]() This is particularly useful in HDR workflows and the HDR LUTs have also been provided to allow for a direct HDR conversion to either PQ or HLG.I finally extracted the LUT a few months ago for the protune setting in the gopro/cineform app, but of course there's a bit more to it! Denoise, some curves, some adding sharpness, etc etc. Similarly, when middle gray is under-exposed by 2 stops at 37% IRE, the Protune curve provides nearly 4.5 stops of highlight latitude relative to the under-exposed mid-gray. The Tone Mapped LUTs are therefore included in 1, 2 and 3 EV increments. On the other hand, when the Tone Mapped Output LUT is selected, no further color grading or tweaking is required as this will map the color and dynamic range to cover the Rec.709 gamut and output levels accordingly.ĭue to the Protune curve’s overall high value of 68% IRE for middle gray and relatively great dynamic range for the sensor size, most footage can generally be under-exposed by 1-2 stops with an adjustment made in post to recover the midtones and expand the highlights. The Technical LUTs provide a base conversion, from which additional color grading and tweaking can be done.
